Forgot the kinda zone you get into when you have fun scrapping away! Arhh the bliss.
Yesterday, I had some time to play and managed to pull off two more LO’s of the photos I had be getting over the Jan holidays.
This first one is taken in Wanaka, with the only nice weather we had. Kids (pj’s and all) jumped at the chance of some back yard cricket after tea.
And the 2nd LO is about my little friend Kandice. There is hidden journalling (the tag) that says ” Ever since your mum broke her foot, Kandice has been my new wee shadow. She is so cute and snuggly, and also so cheeky and funny. I am loving our new closeness.
Loves using the BoBunny range for this photo and playing the with pink and orange colours. Def not a combo I would normally go to but I think it has worked quite well.
TFL all.

Yip its taken me a month to get the papers and bits out but finally found the time and the inspiration to scrap.
I have decided since I would be crap at keeping up with project365 I would do the smaller version project 12.
If you haven’t seen it…have a look here http://scrapbookandcardstodaymag.typepad.com/scrapbook_cards_today_blo/project-12.html
Even get a sketch and examples from Becky Fleck to kick start the motivation. And hers are gorgeous too.
So today when the kids cleared the house I sat down with the jan sketch and finished off with this one …and got to use up some of my old BG paper to make more sense/reason for me to buy some of the newer BG ranges coming out
And I have started doing a mini monthly album the Heidi put up at Scrappin patch. http://scrappinpatch.co.nz/forum/viewtopic.php?f=92&t=1323 I think I am going to get more into the otp projects this year and a mini album seems to be right up there with ‘I can handle the pace’ too.
So for January I did this simple 6×6 page.
And Liz at patch has started inspiration up with the monthly challenges of altered jumbo playing cards…
http://scrappinpatch.co.nz/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=1219
So I finally got my a into g and did January ones too
Front
Now I only have to keep the momento going and continue to scrap.

Sadly it is time for me to move on (actually need/want to) find a job outside of parenting…LOL so if you know one part time going…let me know hahahaha.
But I have decided to take the time away from the design team to focus on this job hunting and then seeing how it all fits into my life and hopefully still maintaining some scrapping time for me too!
So if you have been over to Crafty tart shop lately you will notice that Kate has had some gorgeous Prima on sale and its still going as far as I can see..along with some other goodies in the shop too.
I got heaps of gorgeous Prima in my last kit and had a Kaiser butterfly album waiting to be used to this is what I came up with. Its all about my girl Charli and my besties wee girl Casey and the antics they have been up too in the last 3 years.
It was fun playing around with all this Prima and I have totally enjoyed my time at Crafty Tart. I will def be around to see what all is happening over there too.
Right off to try and create something just because I can.
Have a fab day all

Kate sent Dallas and I a box of goodies so I have been trying to be really motivated and get thru the box!
It helped heaps that I went to a fab xmas crop on saturday (thanks Elaine and girls) and managed to pull off a few more LO’s.
So heres what has come outta the box so far and onto paper.
Prima goodness- using my Gran’s wedding photos…stunning gorgeous lady!

Next one is using the Prima stitched paper…its gorgeous aye! Love how you don’t have to use much on a page to make it look fab. Picture is of my cheeky Charli and her gorgeous aunty Katie.
Next my beautiful new nephew using the Reminisce papers
and a card I made too with same papers
and some fun ones with the MM range
and Cam going to a dress up party
Thats all me for now….if you like any papers or goodies I have used or similar ideas go have a lookie in Kate’s shop at CT http://www.craftytart.com/home_shop.php and come check out the forum and join in with us all

Thats right….nothing…no scrapping happening at all. Even spent some money trying to inspire me but nope!!!!!
Mojo where have you gone???????????????
This is what I have spent my last week looking after….

Yip…my baby got the chicken pox…or in her words the chicken pops…. LOL
She put on this sad droopy look just for the camera

But I suppose I kinda got something crafty done….I have been knitting. Knitting some props for my mate Dallas for her to use for her photography. Some wraps and hats…oh so cute!
And been knitting these wee tops for a friends wee girl. Can’t wait to see them on her…well guess you have to send them to see a picture LOL

and

Another huge thing that happened this month was my fantastic awesome Gran passed away. She was an amzing lady. Served in the airforce and had amazing life experiences and got to meet 5 of her great grand children….she missed meeting the last addition Jamie due to him being in hospital and then on day of his release, she went into hospital. The day my sister was going to go up and let her meet him, she passed away. Was so sad for my sis as Gran had only seen a photo of Jamie, still with all his cords, and medicalt stuff on him from NICU. Found theses pictures when I was going thru all Gran’s stuff for the funeral.
Gran with Charli

and this one of Cam and me with my Gran… LOL

And my gorgeous gran at 90

RIP Gran 20th April 1917- 4th Nov 2009 xoxoxoxox

LOL After reading Hannahs comment in my post yesterday I went into Cam’s room just now and this is what I found. I knew he did acouple but not realising how many. Ok so it looks like he nearly used all embellies he had in his draw on each LO but he will get there in the end heheh
Here are some I found

mm have to teach him how to use is fiskars cutter properly LOL

Think this was his first ever

and found this too

Right gotta go visitors turned up..Cam still at Nanas playing with my niece and Charli now hapy as she has friends to play with here.

Finally put the sewing machine away when The sketch book ran a spring comp that I entered into. It was just the thing I needed to start scrapping and have a direction to start in.
I was also wanting to use up the rather large collection of Basic Grey Papers I have…coz I just need (want) the new lines that are out now..hehehe…its a fab addiction… plus I just gotta get me some Prima too…oh la la…I am so behind and haven’t fallen victim to that addiction as yet…but its getting close.
Any way …layouts
Beautiful Princess

biker girl

friends

On the Go

Right thats all of show and tell atm….must get onto something soon.
Cam has been stealing heaps from my stash lately and creating too, so will have to take some pictures and show you all my 7 year olds talent. I think give him a few years (and someone elses purse) and he will be amazing. Hehehe mummy is proud of him anyway. We spent yesterday arvo making tags and home made embellies for his stash out of my stamps and papers. Guess who did the most cutting??? heeh
Anyway will leave on the thought and prays to all those effected in Samoa. Natural disasters are more than a tragic loss of life but such devastation on communities locally and all over the globe. Such a tragedy.

Yip its been awhile since I have posted so thought it was about time I got my a into g.
I have been scrapping but kinda just randomly. Having sore elbows does help with crafty wishes but will see how that goes. I am trying to use up some stock I have sitting at home and not spending too much (tui ad–yeah right)…
Anyway I had to play alittle with something new for a circle journal I was doing so decided it was to be alcohol inks since I hadnt started that addiciton yet…bit boy that will be short lived…what fun
here is alittle of what I did

and the tag

And also been doing some card swaps with some amzing ladies in Crafty Tart Forum…def make my cards seem so beginner like LOL but here are mine from the Sept swap..theme was thank you

And another thing I want to get more into is the canvas art and off the page things for gift ideas. So if you have any to show off, leave me a link in my comments and I will be sure to spy later on. I was doing the usual one night with nothing to do and saw a canvas Nix Howard had done so I took her idea and recreated one similar (def not a good but I liked it) and did another as a set for a gorgeous family members birthday. She liked them so my mission was completed and received well

and

these pictures were taken at night so hard to see tru colours..the actual base colour on canvas was more a teal/cream combo….
and totally off the scrapping theme I made these ..One for Charli which she calls her Mummy Dora and one for a craft swap I was doing on the EBB forum.

plus this little ted for my new nephew Jamie, just have to add a J to his top now I no for sure his name is Jamie

Plus other things that have kept me away from the scrapping table are these taggies and taggie balls I have been playing around with sewing. My daughter is addicted to her taggies and it seems I have created a few other addicted babes/toddlers too…oppps

oh and lastly I have tried my hand at sewing up some Tote bags…I like to challenge this non sewing girl some times and pretend I can….they turned out alright so now I wanna prefect the style and size I actually want and wait for the right material to show itself when I am shopping next.

But of fun anyway,…only thing is Charli got me into sewing up some baby bibs for her babies…we even took some to her preschool so she didnt have to take the real babies bibs when she was playing dollies LOL.

Where to start , where to start.
Firstly I had the bested Saturday just been. Elena from Scrapbook Paradise here in Dunedin ran a winterfest day full of action packed scrapping. Not sure how we did it, but turned out 3 cards, used HS masks on a LO, another 2 BG LO’s and a quote journal. If I had to pick my fav fav thing done there was one of the cards/tags using Tim Holtz inks, misters, perfect pearls, stamps and more with the heat gun in the package too. Super fun and it was amazing to see how diff all our work was when using the same tools and materials. Mine was so much goth looking in comparsion but that prob says heaps about my personality and the just jump in there and make a huge mess type gal! Anyway here is my result and I can wait to play and improve on the tech some more.

secondly I am am involved in a circle journal that Deb started over at Crafty tart. I have never done one before so thought gotta start somewhere….we sent the first round off end of last week and I have completed my first turn on one of the girls already.
I decided to call mine “she said, he said”… and that meaning the funny things your parents say, the weird things your partner will say, the odd sayings your kids say etc….anything that makes you smile….
Here is the start of mine…thanks to the trustly old painting jeans I had lying around LOL.

Dictionary of charli and Cams story "Once upon a sore eggs".

and final page

3rdly…..was asked to do something using some old photos for my best friends brothers 40th…..Of course I asked for copies of the orginals as I couldn’t cut their precious few family photos they had left…
Any way this is what I came up with after seeing similar in a scrapping mag I brought….it was fun fun fun and messy as to make. And alot of hunting in the shed and garden for rusty nails, hinges and bolts etc…
first canvas

close ups

and the 2nd canvas

and close up

the photos don’t do it justice and looked way better irl.
And finally I set the CT innovations challenge one up, which is due to end this friday…
The LO I used was this

and this was the inspiration I had and have given all that are competing…
Issue 3 of The innovations mag……they are generously being our sponsers for this comp…

so competitors had to use the cover as inspiration and add eitehr Parenthesis, DIY flowers and/or dimension on their work….gallery will be open for all to see by friday after closing so be sure to check it out.
right finally got thru all that and I don’t think I have left anything out…….and the kids need wrestling now so best go.
happy scrapping all
